Dr. Shah has been very pleasant and listened to understand what I was going through.. were other doctors were quick to make judgments. He did not rush and helped me through a very rough time in my life.

Dr. Shah was extremely disappointing in terms of handling my sister's treatment. The meds he prescribed were completely insufficient and inconsistent w prior medical advice. He refused to discuss his treatment, despite my sister signing a release. Due to his poor care, my sister was again hospitalized, then Dr. Shah's asst told me that his office would no longer see my sister --- Dr Shah is a poster child for what is wrong with the mental health treatment in the U.S.

Dr. Shah seems knowledgeable at his profession however, the office hours are horrible! They claim to be open Monday-Thursday, 12:30pm-4pm but on several occasions I called at 3:40pm and the office was already closed. I've been having an issue with a medication that is not an emergency, but is urgent. As a working, full time mom of 2, I'm very frustrated by the lack of communication that I can have with my doctor. He doesn't spend more then 10 min. with you and the visits always feel rushed.

This physician should not have a license much less be the SOLE Psychiatrist at Florida Hospital Altamonte. Upon my initial meeting he was exceptionally unprofessional, refused in a very abrupt manner to shake my hand and did not speak with me for more than 5 minutes. He then changed my medication which I had only been on for less than 2 days (when it takes at least 10-14 days to be effective). Overall- run don't walk from this man! He is clearly vey impressed with himself; he doesn't care.
