Shady Pond Farm was homesteaded in the late 1800's. And in 1925, forty acres of the original homestead was sold to Miss Norma Badon (aka Norma Wallace), New Orleans' infamous "Madam" in the French Quarter. What an absolute POS this guy is. Several people waiting, called and said he was closed due to weather however it was no longer raining and told me and I quote “well maybe you should update yourself on the current conditions” like bro, we called earlier and you didn’t say you were closed! - Maybe you should update your “open hours” or you know when people call, don’t tell them you got plenty of trees and not mention you’re closed. Wasted 80 mile round trip, go buy your trees elsewhere guys. He doesn’t deserve your business. ... read more

Rude old man, called to ask if they had trees and told me he has plenty nothing else. Once we arrived I called to find out how to get into facility and he then informed me he was closed for the weather. We was then told we should get up to date with the weather, was very excited but the old grumpy man ruined it. Go elsewhere for sure !!!

Excellent location. His knowledge of the science behind horticulture and arbor studies is impressive. Visiting the USA for two weeks from the middle of the desert in the Middle East, this was a much needed visit. All of the greenery, trees, fresh air. He works with the university of Mississippi horticulture department. He developed his own strain of evergreen tree as well. Again, impressive. Come see for yourself. Thank you. Respectfully

Was very excited for our first experience of cutting down our own tree & was disappointed. The owner is a miserable old man who has an attitude for no reason & whoever trims the trees must be blind.
