Went there for my free birthday meal with hubby who got a senior discount. We were there 6/25/18. All employees were pleasant. Food was good home cooking, as usual. Steak night and hubby had 2. Choices were plentiful and the areas were clean. No complaints here. I was thankful that they worked hard to cook so that my 72nd birthday could be dish-free. Thanks for a great night out. Where else can you get a free buffet like that?
For the price you pay I wasn’t that impressed. The steak that my husband and mother had was very fatty so there really wasn’t much meat to it. The other food with just basic Pennsylvania Dutch fare.
Wonderful experience. We came with a group of service dogs and staff was curtious and cleared the table quickly. Food was good!

Seems like the food has slacked off since my last visit. Still plenty of it to go around and the staff wasn't very friendly.
I was never so disappointed in my life. I have been helping to put together bus trips for our church for Sight and Sound. We have eaten here a number of times. We were cramped in a small room and the buffets were so close to each other you couldn't get through. Things were on both hot buffets but you could only see the one in your line. Always loved it here, but got the rewards card to use for the smorgasbord. Used the card in the past but was told today can't do that anymore, when was that changed? Lady was kinda rude when I asked when it changed. Everything seemed off today, normally very good.
It takes about one & a half to two hours from Maryland to get here & it is worth the ride the employees are friendly & courteous,the food is heavenly over 100 items to choose from the whole place is clean (bath rooms too)smile,The price to eat is great i would recommend Shady Maple to friends & they have came back with good feedback.....PS I also shop at Shady Maple Farm Market & the department store for unique items.
It was a presentation so not all of the menu items were available. But what was there was wonderful.
