I just moved in yesterday and already I am not impressed. There was a huge miscommunication about what unit I would be in. I was told the day before I was to move in that I was going into a different unit, after I had already forwarded my mail and set up utilities in the other unit. The leasing agent claimed to have called me several times and left 2 voice mails. My phone never showed any. I can only guess that she dialed a 317 area code instead of my 319 Iowa-based number, and then didnt listen to the voice mail prompt care... read more
A few friends of mine have lived at Shady Knoll Apartments over the years. The advise they all had was to be sure and look at your apartment good before moving in or signing the lease. When you move out it better look exactly the same as it did the day you moved in otherwise they will send you a big "repair" bill. After hearing this I choose to keep looking.
I moved in here about 5 years ago when the management was a revolving door. As soon as I signed my lease, I wondered if I made a mistake.After they fired the most incompetent property manager around, they brought in Belinda to take over.What a difference a good property manager makes. Dave in maintenance seems to have that part in good order and you dont have to wait a month for a repair like in the past.Other little things make a difference.
