Stay Away from 539 S. Manhattan Pl 90020 I lived there for four years. The people in the building are quiet, but the neighboring buidling is VERY noisy. One time, the cops came and knocked on the door for 5 minutes to no avail, until they declared themselves as police. That's when the neighbor open the door. They also allow their kids to play loudly, screaming, yelling, crying just outside our building's windows, starting aroud 7-8am--so no sleeping in late. Overpriced I wasn't impressed with this place. The apartments were okay and they were kept up fairly well, but they really seemed to be overpriced compared to what you would pay right across the street.
Good place but has some real bad neighbours We are staying in Windsor Ridge for 2 year and still like the place overall. Especially it is close to the highways and the commerial streets. The apartment unit is small and has very limited parking lots. Can get tough for people having multiple cars or guests visiting. Recently we have noticed some thief activites around here. Since we have moved a lot of apartments before so, we are not ready to move out. But otherwise overall it is a good property.
Don't do it!! Deposit, forget about it!!! We were in the process of moving and decided to stay until the very last day of the month because we didn't want to forfeit the deposit. We cleaned the apartment, but had some stains on the carpet. Everything else was fine, normal wear and tear. They took $450 out of $500 because they felt like it. They listed items like 6 gallons of paint, installing new tiles because they're renovating. Normal things at I shouldn't pay for. Wonderful complex When I first moved to California I lived here with a roommate in a beautiful one bedroom loft apartment. The grounds are gorgeous, there are two swimming pools and a small gym. The laundry rooms are card operated--you need to buy a laundry card from the little machine to use them. Much easier than keeping coins around! why not to rent here.... We still live here and have been dealing with this for some time.We have finally decided to involve city building inspectors.This seems to be the only way we can be sure the environment we pay our hard earned money for is maintained to the healthy standards REQUIRED by local code. All the windows leak and one doesn't even close properly.The sliding door gets so wet at night with condensation,it runs down the frame and my carpet is getting moldy because of it.Shouldn't the priority here be the well be... read more
Bad place to live Anonymous is nuts! My husband and I have lived here for over a year now. Our lease wont be up till June. We rent a studio for 1065$ a month. Here is what we got for our money: The place is intolerable during the summer for the heat. We try to leave the windows open but can't because the noise. I LOVE this place! I lived here for a year and unfortunately my job took me to another part of the state. The staff is absolutely wonderful. They remembered me by first and last name. They throw "get-to-know-your-neighbor" parties every 3 months and they are a lot of fun. Drinking and food included for free! Hillcrest Park - DON"T Within a year that I lived here, I have learned of and been a witness to robberies, (one of which my neighbor was sleeping in her bed while it happened), car thefts and vandalisms, an excessive amount of dog poop all around the complex, parties on the balconies at night, and of course a murder and a couple of attempted murders.
