He is a great doctor. I have gone to him for almost ten years and he always takes the time to really talk to you about your problems and works with you to help you understand what you can do to work toward the best possible outcome.
after recieving the EKG Dr. liu came in I ask how about the results, he said we would discussit later, later he got up left , forgot to write a prescription for high blood pressure, forgotto discuss the EKG results and left abruptly to his next patient. Unbelievable but true. Threedays later a nurse finally called me said my irregular heartbeat was a blocked branch bundle. First of all I am in my mid eighties. I was hoping to find a cardiologist that would take me on to follow my care ; and especially be thorough and caring of me as a person to look out for my best interest. However, that has not been the case. My concern of an abnormal EKG was not taken very seriously obviously because the Dr. scheduled me for a Echocardiogram six months after my initial appointment. Dr. Manuel Garcia listens to you. He is an excellent cardio doctor and very knowledgeable.
Dr. Nguyen is very knowledgeable and personable. I trust him, he's easy to talk to and he listens to you, you're not just a number to him, you're actually his patient. He's up to date on all the new procedures with the heart and takes great care of you.
As the spouse of a former patient, I witnessed Dr Lui's mishandling of my spouse's condition. He was a patient for a number of years, abided by Dr Liu's instructions and seemed satisfied. As my spouse's health declined, I decided to sit it and accompany my spouse to every appointment. Dr Lui, while being respectful, seemed to dismiss my spouse's questions, concerns, etc and would head towards the door, looking at his watch and try to leave before we could ask any more questions. I no longer live in San Antonio. While I have a competent new physician, I really miss Dr. Yoo. He is very kind, knowledgeable, and a good listener. The best thing about him was his willingness to be a participant in my care rather than a dictator. Our visits were more like very productive chats. I never felt rushed or patronized. Thank you, Dr. Yoo.
