Catered my party with great tasting food. We enjoy the croquetas de jamón and empanadas de carne for dessert had flan so good. Thank you, muchísimas gracias por su trabajo. Lunch was made with love and very tasty. Cuban sandwich, empanadas de carne y completa de congris, costillas y yuca. Muy rica gracias a uds.
The food was decent,but there was confusion as to what is a "completa",versus just picking & choosing what u wanted. This translates to a complete meal consisting of a protein,a side,or an extra edible choice typically plantains or yuca. The tamales were horrible,& a poor representation of this great side dish. It appeared to be just baked corn meal tied into a corn husk wrapping. The staff was quite uninformed & appeared inexperienced.(Rainbow location). I took my father, who was raised in Cuba, to this Carloto’s location and he said this was some of the most authentic Cuban food he has had in a very long time! The ropa vieja, congris, and maduros were stand outs. The black beans were also excellent! So full of flavor and not “mushy” or over cooked. The garlic and bay leaf comes through nicely and compliments everything else on your plate. They aren’t stingy on portion size either, you’re going to get plenty of food! We will absolutely be back! Highly recommend!
