My husband & I came to downtown San Diego for a wedding. I wanted to have my hair done for the wedding and I found Heather from Shade and Strand while doing a Yelp search. Heather communicated well with me from the start. On the day of the wedding (which was on a Friday) we had a 12:30 appt. The wedding ceremony was scheduled for 3:30pm. If you are looking for a fun and talented artist for your wedding hair and makeup look no further! Heather was so awesome to work with for my wedding earlier this month. She did a fantastic job bringing my vision to life, I felt so beautiful! I'm super glad I did a trial session because I really got to fine-tune what I wanted and get to know Heather too. These girls are so dang talented!!! Heather was in charge of hair for my wedding and Cynthia applied our makeup. Everyone looked absolutely stunning once they were done with us and it all lasted for the entire night. They even got complimented by the photographer for being efficient and finishing on time. Heather made my wedding hair absolutely PERFECT! The style she did for me was even better than the Pinterest pictures I showed her for inspiration. She is so warm, friendly, supportive, and funny. It really put me at ease, which is especially important because (as she pointed out!) hair/makeup stylists are the first vendors you see on wedding day, so her cheerful aura really set the tone! My daughter's stylist for her wedding party cancelled on a Saturday evening 5 days before her wedding! We inquired to see if Heather would be available and fortunately she was. Heather was absolutely the BEST! She came to my daughter's home on Sunday morning to do a trial run - she was fast, understood my daughter's vision and executed it perfectly.
