Comfortable retreat. Food leaves a lot to be desired. Extremely excessive ground rules.
I give The Shacks food a negative star, sausage gravy and scrambled eggs was lukewarm, the majority of the food served was of poor quality. Place was clean, we enjoyed our time together. We were initially informed a year ago Sunday lunch was not an option and to bring our own, so we did but was not allowed to serve our family the food we brought due to some food service regulations they have. Such a beautiful retreat. Quiet, relaxing atmosphere. The staff was so friendly and helpful.
This is a very laid back, super friendly place. I am here with a group, and there are several other groups here also. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner are served at specific times, in one big area. Nice lake, walking trails or just sit on a bench & relax.
