My son had to get his eyes checked today, and we usually just pop into Target for that. However, this year we decided to go somewhere that looked a bit more upscale, and True Eye Center of Texas fit the bill perfectly. This was probably the worst eye doctor experience I have ever had. To begin with what I assumed was the receptionist doing a training session where I heard about their price markup practices and then she told me the doctor charges extra for a retinal scan $39 which is covered by other doctors in the regular exam. The assistant Nora who tested me was rude and very unfriendly. Then I waited 25 minutes in the room for the doctor to come in only to find out the doctor was also the receptionist.
