Sgrizzi has quickly become a home away from home. As the man Chef Sgrizzi himself says “stay and sit a while,” in a world stuck in a rush, this is a perfect place to sit and enjoy great service and great food. This was our first time visiting Florentine, and we originally came in just for the famous pistachio affogato. We ended up staying for brunch, and it was the BEST decision we could have made! It was an experience from the moment we walked in. The restaurant was extremely clean, smelled amazing, and was absolutely stunning. What a phenomenal experience! From the chef, wait staff, bakery and of course the food, this bakery and restaurant is such a gem! Visiting Florence and Rome twice, with my husband (and the plan to live 1/2 the year in Florence in retirement), I was in search of an affogato, close to the one we had in Florence.
