Staff are so incredibly kind, helpful, understanding and they do a great job of making you feel comfortable and respected. After receiving very poor service at some private clinics, my experience here was very relieving and honestly made my week. Some of the phone operators aren’t great, but once you arrive at the clinic itself, it’s smooth sailing!
Over the phone, and to some extent in person, they do everything to stop you from coming in. They’ll try to not give you an appointment by asking you all these criteria questions. It’s quite an odd experience, especially for the only free sexual health clinic in the city. And when you successfully get an appointment, the nurse, who is great and all, but will push you to get the home kit next time. I wonder if they don’t want to work or what?! The wait room is always empty when I’m there. There’s something odd going on…
i'm sure the clinic itself and the doctors/nurses are great but i called to make an appointment to get an IUD removed and the little man who answered the phone couldn't be bothered to do his job, asking why i needed it removed... (you're not the doctor or nurse, it's none of your business) he asked how old i was and said and i quote "we only help people under 29, young people in school going through tough times.....just go to apple tree" i told him i just turned 30, and i still am in school and also going through tough times... read more
