Over priced, horrible quality of work, messed up my wedding dress so bad, had 7 months to complete the work but it wasn’t ready until 3 day before the wedding.
Do not go to Lois if you expect good quality work! The hemming was horrible. Now we have to pay someone else to fix her mistakes. She charged too much and did terrible work.
Lois has done a fantastic job on everything from my wedding gown to my jeans! She gets things done quickly and the way she created a new sweetheart cut on my wedding dress which was covered in ornate beading was impressive! She's very sweet and gets down to business at the same time! I'll always go back!
Excellent seamstress: she has been working on almost all of my formal gowns ever for years (Since I am a short, petite woman), and she did excellent for my wedding dress and bridesmaids dresses as well. Our dresses were all made from scratch (mine with 2 interchangeable skirts), and she made each of them fit me and my girls to a T, even with all of our different body sizes! I have to share my terrible experience with Lois' alterations to save others from making the same mistake. Sewing by Lois' nice website is deceiving--I thought I was choosing a professional. My brand new dress is totally ruined--no saving it. Lois cut too much off, she tried to fix the mistake by cutting the lining (which I specifically asked her not to touch the lining), and messed the lining up too. The dress is completely ruined. Absolutely horrible experience. Items were not done with expertise. All items had quality issues. Some items not done at all. Did not complete alterations on time. Gouged me with pricing.
Worst tailoring experience of my life. She butchered my dress. It was completely different from the last fitting I had before I picked it up. After trying ti on at home I called Lois about being unhappy. She argued with me and would not let me speak. my mom called her back after and Lois hung up on her refusing to fix her mistakes. There was blood on the dress, purple marker, she made the bustle with neon colored ribbons that showed through the dress, did not cut off the excess fabric (just folded it under the seam).
