Locals like the bar and to be seen Its a local thing so don't think you'll be treated too welcome if you are not from here.... well it's not that bad. But there are more friendly places. The room is quaint and tight. The food is OK. Soups are good, salads are small. Entres are good but don't go there hungry. It will not satify. After dinner hours.....Its a bar without bar snacks? If you want to eat you have to buy a meal .... which are expensive. If you want to drink cold beer, act important and hang out with locals its a ni... read more
Classy place... good food The Sewickley Hotel has been a staple in downtown Sewickley for years, though it has undergone several changes in management. The food is consistently good (red meat & turtle soup tend to be their best entrees) and the environment is relaxed. Recently they were a smoke-free establishment, but new owners reversed that policy, and at times, the environment can be a little too carcinogenic. But, if you're looking for a steak to go with your whiskey & cigar, the Sewickley Hotel would be perfect! Kind of... read more
Oh my god. Worst food and service ever. Nice music and outdoor patio m dont eat there. Order 2 beers at a time.
No taste food. – On 5-31-2010 my party of 5(3 adults, 2 children) ate lunch. My son and I ordered the supposed crab melt. Absolutely no crab meat in it (not even a sliver) and the "cheesey sauce was just cheese, not even a hint of crab "flavor"!!! Their menu does read "crab". Our bill came to $75.00 plus tip.I have been a resident of Sewickley coming up on 7 years. I used to think the Hotel was the best restaurant in town, no more!!

Terrible experience – We were excited to try Sewickley Hotel & stay and listen to the music playing in the bar section. After an hour of waiting for our order (cheeseburger & chicken), the waitress assured us it was coming, the kitchen forget our order. We didn't mind because we had our drinks. She offered us green beans, which were great but we were starving. My burger was $13.99 & the chicken was $20. We did notice the table next to ours had to send back their food twice & another got up and left w/out even ordering. It was... read more

Good if you've got more money than sense – To be certain, the food is good. However, the prices are not aligned with the quality of the food. One thing to remember is that this is basically a pub for the Sewickley gentry. If spending $17 on a steak sandwich is a reasonable purchase for you, then by all means eat here. If you think that $30 for a steak is out of line, then you're not going to be happy here. $7 for a raspberry beer? $10 for a hamburger? $6 for the privilege of splitting a dish? To pay $75 for two people to din... read more
