A hard working Chamber that does double duty to support the businesses of the Sevierville and Sevier County region in addition to being a hub for tourism aka visitors.
The Sevierville Chamber of Commerce does more for promoting my business than any other organization that I am a member of. It is also a fantastic opportunity to network with other businesses and socialize at the many ribbon cuttings and business after hours that they sponsor.
You need to figure out how to rectify what the guy said at the meeting I live in Idaho and even here we got rid of folks like him. They just left our state maybe give him a ticket to some country where his views would be welcome. I believe in free speech and he has every right to be a bigot but you folks must have known how he was? Just saying all them folks at that meeting who clapped should really think hard about what was said.
Boycotting Sevierville, Gatlinburg & Pigeon Forge until WARREN HURST is removed from Sevier County Commission.
The city could reject homophobes.
Make an alllll out effort to have Warren Hurst resign. If you are having trouble cancelling reservations/deposits it realllly works to use the video of the racist old white man rant on one of the many news services as a tool. I will not set foot in Sevier County till he is gone and admonished publicly for the hatred and bigotry.
Commissioner Warren Hurst made horrific homophobic statements, which should not be supported or encouraged. His behavior was hateful and inexcusable and should not be allowed.
Force ignorant bigots such as Warren Hurst—who feels his whiteness is being usurped and apparently longs for the unenlightened days of the dark ages—out of office. I have enjoyed my visits to that part of Tennessee in the past, but I won't be back until he's gone.
