My wife's Grandmother is a resident. The smoke detectors had a dead battery so it kept beeping. She insisted that the Maintenance man MUST replace it, after the 90+year old lady is required to put in a written order across the street. It's been over a week, still no battery. They claim its "not emergency ". I beg to defer. So I replaced the 9 volt battery Hopefully, we don't get written up for breaking the rules. No smoke detector + fire = a big potential emergency...and a lawsuit. Get the batteries replaced people, come on.... read more
As a resident, I recently had a ladies church group meet together in the facility hospitality room. Everyone was so impressed with the room. It is always so nicely decorated and clean. I want to thank Shileen Skipping, the property manager, for all she does to make us feel at home and well looked after. Settlement Estates has fabulous floor plans and John, our maintenance man, is superb. If you are looking for an excellent location for senior living in Bastrop, your search is over!
