If Dr. Ennis recommends physical therapy, then BEWARE if you go outside of ONS: there are some physical therapists in A , New York Border town along the Greenwich border, who advertise 1 hour, 1 patient, 1 therapist. A physical therapist at an HSS accredited facility in that border town, has asserted that it's safe to distract hips with a belt . But, there is not even any theoretical or high level proof that distracting hips is legitimate, safe, of any value to hips, knees, or other joints, and without injury potential. Ther... read more

The You Tube, "This will WRECK your HIPS-real talk on hip distraction", march 15, 23: states that nobody has tested the theory that distracting the hips relieves stiffness etc. . there's no evidence /study/research to demonstrate theoretical validity. READ THE NEGATIVE COMMENTS FROM PEOPLE HURT BY THIS DISTRACTION !!!! If PHYSICAL THERAPY is indicated, then it is important to carefully select a physical therapy practice that collaborates with orthopedists, and to insist that the therapist write a treatment plan to be approved by you and your orthopedist, as a written guarantee that it is safe for YOU, evidence based, and WITHOUT INJURY POTENTIAL. Beware. If your surgery outcome is poor, he'll abandon you. He has no interest in addressing post surgery problems. Go with big hospitals with big teams and lots of experience.

I had my shoulder surgery done by Dr. Sethi in 2007 after extensively researching my options. I saw multiple doctors, all of which were considered by other surgeons to be the top of their game. While these other doctors are fantastic, I'm sure, I decided on Sethi because I felt the best connection with him. At his level, the skills he has don't really get better compared to the other doctors I saw, so I wanted the doctor that made me feel the most confident and comfortable. His bedside manner is superb. In addition to his expertise and knowledge in his specialty, Dr. Delos has a wonderful bedside manner. He is thorough, patient, and has a genuinely kind demeanor when he speaks to you. As a working critical care RN and busy mom of two small children, I knew I had to repair my ACL tear. Dr. Delos explained the entire procedure, including pros & cons, realistic expectations and the science behind his specific surgical choices. I highly recommend Dr. Delos & the entire practice as a whole.

While at ONS for a different issue, that doctor sent me to see Dr. Pedon right then to look at my infected foot, which was the result of being pierced by a palm tree frond three weeks earlier and was not getting better. Dr. Pedon made time to see me within the half hour and ordered an ultrasound for the following day, which revealed a 1" long piece of palm tree frond broken off in my foot.
