I have been under Dr Steinberg’s care for over 6 years. He has always taken time to explain everything to me in terms I can understand. He found pancreatic tumors and I feel he saved my life as it was early stage of what would have been pancreatic cancer. He and his staff have always been very professional
Dr. Steinberg discovered my husband’s (very unexpected) Colorectal Cancer during his first routine colonoscopy. He followed up with us several times - even late at night - as soon as he had information to give us, and to be sure we were connected with the right people to begin treatment. Dr. Steinberg saw me in 2022 for a diagnosis regarding my abdominal pain. He asked a few questions and tapped my stomach. As I was leaving, I desperately asked him, what is wrong with me and what I can do for the pain. His response was so flip and unprofessional. "Learn to live with it" Subsequently, I found another gastroenterologist who persevered using a breath test and another CT/Ultrasound test ! He did not accept that i needed to live with this pain.
