But the reopening really is a tribute to the philosophy of its founder, the late Joseph Serio, who began selling fruits and vegetables here in 1902. We are at Serios for the best sandwich in Northampton at least two or three times a week. We also call in group orders when having a "gathering" for cocktails and one of us picks it up. It's the ONLY place to get house prepared roast beef that is actually rare. If you have four or five people, get five or six different sandwiches and share or trade a half with your friends.
