Great place. Nathan Porter is a fantastic psychiatrist. He listens, cares and works with you on your care plan. I have seen many different psychiatrists in my life and no one has been as thorough, warm, caring and helpful as Nathan.
Please remind your therapists about ethics. Is it illegal for a marriage therapist to help a family member on the side about mental health issues? No. Is it unethical? YES! Just because you have a degree doesn’t mean you’re mature enough for the responsibility.
Excellent service and skill. They listen to you're concerns and discuss treatment options. I've been going to them for years, have seen excellent results and will continue to use their services with no plans to stop.
Pro: They have a dog in the office, which is a nice touch. Con: I'm a knowledgeable ketamine patient with years of documented treatment history. I came in knowing my preferred compounding pharmacy (Potter's House) and the standard national pricing for compounded ketamine. Despite this, Brian Mccullough steered me toward his preferred pharmacy — Stride Pharmacy in Gilbert, 40 miles away, rather than honoring my choice. I was a patient at Serene Psychiatry for a few years. I never had an issue, until I had to call my insurance company this year when the deductible reset. My husband had just started seeing them as well. The codes they provided did not match the level of care I needed. Both myself and my husband were being charged as the highest level of medical decision making, which of course comes at a much higher cost.
