The website says that they just relocated, but from previous reviews it seems that they’ve been located in this building for some time now. We had an hour and a half couples massage along with a 30 minute head spa. Upon stepping out of the elevator, you’re greeting with an empty, under-renovation room. I started going to Serendipity when it was in KC. It was close to UC and there was a food truck outside. It was nice because I never needed an appointment and I could walk in whenever I had free time. They always made time for me. The KC salon was super cute. Their new location is on the 3rd floor of an office building. All the signs directing you where to park and which buttons to hit in the elevator are printed off a computer. Nothing seems permanent. If you’re from out of town like we were—read the reviews. They are spot on. The staff is very friendly, I’ll give them that. But this is not a high-end salon… it’s honestly a little sketch. It looks like they’ve been in “remodel mode” for a long time. By the time we stepped off the elevator and walked down a dark hallway, passing room after room like a maze, I was already questioning my life choices. I’ve been to Serendipity for a few services over the last couple years. My partner and I would book a couples massage and we had wonderful massage therapists all the times we went, except this most recent time in February. I’m usually not one to complain or write bad reviews, but I don’t know if what we received can even be called a massage. It really just felt like this girl was rubbing oil on me, with no pressure or technique whatsoever. My partner said his lady only used one hand a lot of the time. I absolutely love going to Serendipity! From being greeted by the lovely faces at the front desk to the individual providing the services, everyone is so kind and down to earth. I have gotten a brow tint and eyelash extensions recently and I love them, I left feeling so beautiful! I plan on getting more services done in the near future and strongly encourage you to do the same for your beauty needs. I feel they are reasonably priced, too, so please check them out.
