Good visit with Dr Young for shoulder and knee

I had an appointment with Dr. Young after badly stubbing my big toe. It was still bothering me after a week so I wanted to determine whether it was just sprained or broken since I couldn't bend it. I was leery about going into a medical office unless it was absolutely necessary due to the coronavirus pandemic. The office staff assured me on the phone that the doctor would be wearing PPE and seeing very few patients, hence no concern about a crowded waiting room, and everyone was required to wear masks, patients and staff ali... read more

Dr. Young is a very caring and extremely competent surgeon. She surgically repaired my broken elbow and I am able to do everything again including playing golf. I highly recommend her. The office staff is very pleasant and accommodating.

Horrible...hurries to get out of room, doesn't explain what is wrong, doesnt say what to avoid and not to avoid, just in and out for some SERIOUS damage. Does not go over xrays. Told me I was "fine" for an entire year when come to find out after an MRI I had all sorts of soft tissue damage. Lied about the MRI report, I read it and it had far more damage than she "informed" be about, doesnt explain options,..3 minitutes in and out. Does not do a visual inspection of damaged area..stay away

I have had Dr. Young perform surgeries on my both of knees for torn menisci. They were both successful. I could not be more pleased with Dr. Young's professionalism, kindness, and careful expertise. She explains each situation very carefully and clearly and answers any questions with great patience. I recommend her most heartily.

I do not recommend Dr. Young to anyone. She has no personal skills at all and her main objective seemed to be to get you out of her office as quickly as possible. I went to go see her for an arm issue last year and she actually appeared to be annoyed at any questions that I asked her. The only bright spot was that she did refer me to a good surgeon who took the time to explain what was wrong with my arm and eventually operated on it. A little empathy for you patients goes a long way.

The office staff and X-ray people know what they are doing. Dr Young 's exam room has no computer to show patient digital X-ray, when asked to see X-ray of my arm, she became annoyed. What Doctor takes X-rays and does not review in front of patient. Was very short and rushed. I would not recommend. Old exam room, not even a monitor to review with the patient, if that tells you something.

Fairly easy to get an appt. I have had four experiences, including broken wrist of my daughter. Dr. Young is rushed and seems easily annoyed. Suggested pt before surgery because of my age, 60. Torn meniscus. Going on for 3-4 months. Had improved as much as it would without surgery. Not sure if she thought I should hobble for the next 30 years or what. Had this problem before 15 years prior. Surgery and no further trouble.

I had fractured my foot, and was referred to Dr. Young. She was brief and always rushed through the appointments with little explanation besides the bare minimum. She offered no advice in regards to alleviating the pain caused by the injury. When I had asked if it was OK to see my x-rays, she appeared annoyed, and was not very friendly.
