We were lucky to find Sequoia Senior Care for my mother. The house has 4 rooms upstairs and 4 rooms downstairs for residents. It's situated in a truly residential neighborhood, near single family homes, an elementary school and swim club (not that the residents need such things). I cannot speak highly enough about Sequoia and all the workers and residents. Adam, you have a gold mine! You all have been a gift from God to me and I can't thank you all enough! Dementia is a horrible disease and your emotional and professional support have been above and beyond. I will speak high praise to everyone for all of you! Thank you from the bottom of my heart!!! I would never recommend Sequoia Senior Care in Columbia, MD to anyone looking for a safe and caring environment for their loved one. My grandma’s experience there was heartbreaking, and the level of neglect she endured is inexcusable. The living conditions are absolutely unacceptable—bugs in her room, common areas that are filthy, and a clear lack of maintenance that makes the entire place feel unlivable. My sister was the first resident at Sequoia Senior Care. Having witnessed her neglect at another care home I can see the difference on her face every time I speak to her on FaceTime. She is happy now! The owner Adam has gone out of his way to support our whole family when we have needed it. The manager Lezlie has helped and advised us too when my niece had a serious health crisis. And the caregivers Shannoy and Simone couldn't be more helpful and caring. My sister needs a lot of assistance and she is getting what she needs.
