The only Japanese Sake brewery in the SF Bay Area. You can taste and buy their Sake at the brewery. If you’re big fan of Japanese food, I strongly recommend visiting there.
We came for an early Mother’s Day celebration and left as sake club members. Tasting flights at $15 each are well worth it. We tried all of them and the spicy flight was our favorite. Each one came with a breakdown of the brewing process, alcohol content, and food pairings, which made the whole experience more interesting than your typical tasting. Fantastic sake brewery with tasty and well priced bottles and flights. Owner is super welcoming. They do accept walk ins but the place got full within 45 mins of opening so I’d book in advance. Bring a jacket if you get cold. Can’t wait to go back!
Sequoia is something special. Jake and Noriko are wonderful hosts and make the sake tasting experience feel casual and friendly. They brew a variety of sakes that change with the years, so there's good reason to go back every now and again to experience new sensations. Sitting right in the middle of the brewery for a tasting really enforces the idea that this is a small operation putting out some great product.
