I’ve been a loyal Sephora customer for well over a decade, have spent thousands of dollars with the brand, and frequent this West Village location almost weekly. Unfortunately, an interaction with an employee named Moss during my visit on Friday left me extremely disappointed and uncomfortable returning to this store. As a former Sephora LBA, I value the importance of return policies, but I also know that there is significant room for discretion when a store level error occurs. I attempted to exchange a product I was incorrectly sold by an employee at the West Village location. Despite being only five days outside the return window (and the error being a direct result of staff guidance) the lead, Kaylee, was unwilling to provide a simple override and her demeanor was notably condescending and unprofessional.
