DO NOT LIVE HERE!!!!!! It started when one of the neighboring units caught on fire, which flooded my apartment. The building had to rip out all of my flooring, and it’s now been over a month. The unit has been completely uninhabitable ever since. Everything I own is wrapped in plastic, and construction crews have been coming in and out every couple of days JUST TO “TAKE PICTURES.” During all of this, they somehow broke my closet doors, and MY WALLET even went missing during the construction period. Sentral was a great value and provided great service. I'll absolutely stay here again. Location is 10/10. Nearly everything we wanted to do was walkable from here. And the views were incredible. Even on the back side of the hotel, we could still see the lake and Grant Park. On our last night, The Taste of Chicago even did a drone show and fireworks, which we had a perfect view of. We stayed in a two bedroom, which was very spacious. My only complaint is that the beds seem a bit small. And there was a bit of mold in the glass... read more
I don't know where to start...let's try from the beginning. My friend booked this hotel through Expedia for her 40th birthday. From the photos and overall reviews, it seemed like a nice place to stay. Checking in: couldn't understand the front desk staff well due to the language barrier. Also, they told us it was a $500 security deposit. What on Earth?! This was not advertised anywhere. I've stay in a lot of places, but I've never heard of a $500 security deposit for a hotel. My wife and I booked a long weekend of three nights in Chicago, arriving on a Friday evening. We realized when we got there that we had hoped for four nights. Matt, the front desk manager, never hesitated and helped us book a fourth night in the same room. The room was unbelievable… A corner room with two walls of glass overlooking the skyline of Chicago.
