I had a biopsy at Sentara Breast Center, and the care I received was exceptional. The nurses were incredibly kind, compassionate, and reassuring...they truly made me feel at ease. Dr. Smith was outstanding, I was nervous and he took the time to explain everything and showed genuine care. Before I knew it, the procedure was over. I’m so grateful for the care and comfort they provided...it was truly one of the best medical experiences I’ve ever had, especially given the circumstances.
They wouldn't let me get my mammogram!!! After getting up the courage to schedule my appointment, after receiving MULTIPLE reminder messages (which didn't include any details about needing a previously established primary care provider), after being brave enough just to show up for the stupid screening, I get to the check in desk and they tell me that the provider that I used last year as the doctor to send my report to no longer works for the same clinic, so they told me I can't get a mammogram without having established ca... read more
I went in for a mammogram and ultrasound, it was my first one and had concerns for cancer, and had my sister with me as support and her 2 year old daughter. Everyone was amazing and so nice and helpful and genuinely cared. They also gave my niece some balloons to have and made the experience filled with so much love.
