RecommendedSentara Obici has a great nursing staff. But some of the older doctors should teach or retire. Lack of bedside manner but the great nurses make the stay so much better
I had labored breathing last night and they didn't even test for corona. my lymph node is swollen, I have tiny bumps inside on the right side of my throat. they took an xray of my chest, let me use an inhaler 3 times total. waited an overall time of 3 hours just so the doctor could come in and tell me I have a common cold? y'all are suppose to help, not belittle me and deny test I ask for especially if my health is involved. Beware: Sentara allows non-network providers to provide services within their network hospital, which leads to getting unexpected BIG BILLS after the fact. My husband had a hospitalization at Sentara Obici last year and we received a bill for $1300 for a radiology read because the off-site provider that read the studies was out-of-network. I had a horrible birth experience at Obici. I was due Nov. 4th and my midwife scheduled me to be induced. I went in that evening. The next day they started inducing me. The first day went great. I kept getting checked to see how far I was dilated and they hooked me up and let me walk the halls. I kept getting stopped about every two minutes because the baby’s heart monitor kept moving and they couldn’t hear her heartbeat. RecommendedSuch a wonderful group of physicians, nurses and medical professionals! My children have been with this practice since birth, and they've had every medical need met. Staff is patient, warm and they listen to your concerns thoroughly. They are incredible advocates for my kids!
