Get your ER department fixed. Boyfriend goes in via ambulance and told to sit in waiting room. 4 hour wait for someone with crushing chest pain that goes onto the arm, leg and back... yall are asking for someone to die while waiting to be seen.

I was warned to go to Chowan and not here, by multiple people. The Sentara nurses line recommended I go to an ER. I was in and out of the ER in less than two hours. They did a urine test and that’s all, they didn’t question or look for the reason of my pain or blood, they just sent me home. I didn’t even see a doctor, I saw a PA. I have a history of these symptoms related to other kidney problems and an autoimmune disease. They didn’t do an ultrasound or ct scan or look for any kind of bladder infection. RecommendedI was just in there for six days with a kidney infection and im 12 weeks pregnant. all of the nurses and staff went above and beyond to ensure I was taken care of as well as my husband . i would definitely recommend this hospital.

This is the WORST ER I have ever experienced. My mother arrived in an Ambulance (Thursday evening around 7-7:30pm-ish), vomiting, moaning in pain, sweating profusely, yet at the same time said she was freezing. You could literally see the goosebumps all over her. Her blood pressure was stupid high (190/170) or some ridiculous number. It was very very high. RecommendedMy kids have seen Dr. Stephens for over a decade. I love that she never talks down to kids and really seems to care about them as a whole person - sleep, exercise, school, interests, etc.
RecommendedHad a emergency at 11pm. Got there they check me in and took me right back to be seen by the ER Dr on call and nurses couldn’t be anymore nicer that work with me.
