We reached out to Seniors Helping Seniors Chicago North when a family member was showing signs of dementia and didn’t want to move to a facility. Susannah and Jim have been an amazing resource for my family while we were in a very trying time with our mom post-stroke. Their caregivers were patient, compassionate and had in-depth experience managing triggers and escalation, which is often a side effect of dementia. We had tried other agencies and kept getting young, often quite inexperienced people, which sometimes caused more problems than it was worth. Jim and Sue have been absolutely amazing. They take their time, ask the right questions that matter to me at 85 years old, and have really made me think about how partnering with another mature adult will help me navigate life better. I am so happy they are in the neighborhood and enjoy their presentations. They are extremely knowledgeable about different autoimmune diseases in my family and would recommend them to everyone!
