RecommendedHorrible health care. They don't care about patients. The ER director Dr. Gaetano is a substandard physician, arrogant with attitude. His nurse managers played good gate keepers to avoid quality care. Unbelievable lack of compassion. Never again, and to my fellow Veterans avoid this hospital. The best part is the charge nurse Jen. called security when I was waiting for wheelchair, stating a lie I was refusing to leave. Great patient care.

Sadly St. Elizabeth’s has gone downhill. The wait time in the ER for some is up to 7 hours and you are sitting in a waiting room with multiple people that are ill. I watched my elderly mother sit there in a wheel chair in pain. I feel that the hospitals have declined around the Utica area in five years . Unfortunately no where else to go. better appt booking. waits are too long for service. over an hour past appt time seems the normal I the waiting. room, then another wait once in the exam room
because the quality of care you get depends on the shift is working so far I have had 4 ncidents with the staff that should not happen also if a shame when you receive better treatment from a traveling nurse then a st Luke's staff member they need to get better people
