Outstanding care providers in all aspects. From personal care and all activities of daily living to providing transportation to and from medical appointments and staying with my aunt during the appointments. Amy and Natasha are the main providers and they keep the family updated, on a very regular basis, as to how our Aunt is doing both at home and with details of her appointments. I reached out to Senior Helpers of Northumberland a few weeks ago to see if they could help me with my 84 year old Mom who resides in a nursing home. My Mom suffers with Dementia and Anxiety and lacks social stimulation in the nursing home. I wanted additional support while I was away for 5 weeks. This is truly one of those cases where I wish I could give 7/5 stars. The Senior Helpers team has transformed my aunt's life. At 97, my aunt still lives in her own home. She's fiercely independent, but recently had a heart-attack. That meant a change was needed. However, moving into a long-term care home wasn't an option! I have recently been hospitalized and on my return home still needed a considerable amount of help. At the moment I have to use a walker. A friend recommended the Senior Helpers branch in Cobourg, and they have been great. Initially I was needing help both getting up and going downstairs.They both shopped for me, and later took me shopping. I have been assisted by a number of their staff, and they have without exception been very pleasant and helpful.
