The build quaility and materials used in these homes is subpar according to Google, Yelp and Facebook reviews and my own experience. Also another serious consideration when purchasing one of these homes is the solar panel lease you will/could be signing. These leases are included in both new and many homes for resale. While lowering the up front cost on the purchase of a new home, there are many negatives to consider also. The solar panels on these homes are a great idea. On the other hand I would suggest reading the reviews on both Google and Facebook that note the lack of build quaility and materials used in these homes.
Going through the building process right now with this company and I don’t know if the issue is having a realtor as the middle man, but so far I bought a new construction that was advertised as having solar panels and upgraded cabinets (by the realtor) and found out after the fact that it has neither. I’m currently paying for upgrades it was advertised to have. I’ve also been quoted ridiculous fees for simple additions like an extra receptacle in a wall that already has wire run to it.
