Do NOT order from this company under any circumstances. Our order was also shortchanged by one third and they did but provide good quality wood either. Uneven cuts and no quality control. We had to go to the BBB file a complaint, still go back and forth with the people at Seneca (who also did not call back and tried avoiding all our calls) and funally rented our own van to get the rest of the order ourselves that was shortchanged. These people are crooks and we can prove it. They lie, don't return phone calls and short changed our order by 1/3.
"F" RATING WITH BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU AND HORRIBLE WOOD QUALITY. And very poor business practice. Several reviews on other sites for this company complain of the same problems we encountered--shortchanging orders, poor quality, uneven cuts, AND no installer will guarantee the floor because the wood is so terrible. And a year after install, wood from Seneca Hardwood looks even worse---cracking in the middle of the plank and big cracks between boards from shrinkage. They don't kiln dry their wood correctly. I can honestly would have to disagree with the other customer. I have had nothing but the best customer service from the office manager. She went out of her way to bring one bundle that was missing from our order. Things happen but she was a great help and I believe went above and beyond her duty. There were times that she was not able to be reached but always responded timely through email. Lets give em a break now.
Avoid doing business with this company. The payment policy is full payment before hardwood is shipped, and what we received was of inferior quality to the control samples provided. The quantity was shorted at delivery as well. The company manager is difficult to deal with and would not return phone calls. Worse yet, we ended up installing the wood and have been very unhappy with the result ever since. Excess shrinkage because not kiln dried properly at mill, and no end grooves so gaps there also.
