I was told Dr Aldred was the best with Medtronic DBS programming for Dystonia. He wasted months of my time programming me like a Parkinson’s pt. Causing me more pain and side effects. He did say he shouldn’t have done that with me, so I will give him that. He sent me to his ARNP who didn’t introduce herself and barely spoke to me and did nothing for my program. I was finally given a call after about 3 weeks waiting for an appointment. They called me mid December and gave me a price (not an estimate) for the testing. I told the girl that I would wait until January if the amount was going to exceed the 250.00 approx quoted. She said she verified the cost with my insurance company. I got a bill for 473.31 after the 109.93 paid. When I called about the billing issue I was told that on the day of my appointment I signed a form stating that it was an estimate only. The clinic staff were professional, helpful and friendly. Dr. Aldred was unfriendly & very curt. He was extremely rough, & it seemed like he was jamming the needles in as hard as he could, making the procedure extraordinarily painful to the point I almost left! He left me with bruised, swollen arms, blood dripping everywhere, including on my clothes and told me to wipe it off on the sheet (of the exam bed) Thankfully the tech came back & provided me with a wet wipe & helped me wipe the blood off and covered the holes with B... read more
Very disappointed in the lack of professionalism and bedside manner from Dr Alfred. Disrespectful and dismissive. Did not want to answer my concerns. I will not go back
