The Lab Tech was "Awesome" this morning!
I find Dr. Onyima to be attentive to my description of pain. He is very good at explaining treatment options and how procedures are conducted. After many treatment options failed I had a rhizotomy which provided much relief. I would recommend him for a consultation for those living with pain that is interfering with daily life.
Poor support at the front desk, whoever runs the office would rather have patients suffer than be treated. Had two verified insurance coverages and this office turned us away twice after taking two painful trips to the office..pathetic
I would like to know who I speak to in order to encourage accommodations for Remote Worker Caregivers to Cancer Patients in order to do their work remotely while the cancer patient is receiving treatment. In this day in age with the increase of remote workers, accommodations will need to be made. On 1/8/25 Social Worker Carrie Starkey lied to us saying no rooms were available for my remote working caregiver to present his very important report at a meeting nor did she offer options to us in order to assist. I never felt the need to write a review before. Until now! I have been to the ER at Merits just a a couple of times. I always told everyone how well I was treated. Until last week! I am 65 and had covid. I couldn't stop coughing long enough to breath. When I got there by ambulance. I was pushed into a room. A doctor stuck this head in and ask what was happening. He left. The office and medical staff in this practice are personable, welcoming and helpful. They have always treated my elderly dad with respect and patience. I highly recommend them.
Dr. Akmal has proven himself, over and over, to be insensitive, rude, lacking in empathy and understanding as a pain management caretaker, and I am tired of suffering because of his inadequacies. Doctors are allways in a big hurry they don't lessen to what you say. The people who answer the phone's our disrespectful and so our some of the nurses i have been going to them for years ,it is time to find a nother doctor. Would not recommend this place.
