Building and units are clean and climate controlled. The billing however is awful. They raise their rates without notice and by raise the rate, I mean they double it. They will also try to bill you after canceling the unit.
Orlando was lovely and helpful but we had water damage in our storage unit and Self Storage Plus refused pay us or move us to a different unit. My 82year old husband and I had to move everything ourselves to a new unit. They are offering us $95.00 in damages. Once our contract is up we will be moving to a different storage company!
If I could give this place negative stars, I would. We rented a unit here about six months ago to store furniture, appliances, electronics, and personal items. When my partner checked on the unit last month, he found water damage and mouse droppings covering everything. He’s had to fight relentlessly just to get anyone to help. Worse customer services ever. I tried to move in and they didn't have power. I called the office, which it is in a different location, and the guy from the office was super rude. I had to drive back to the storage to check my self if the power comes back or not because the management never let me know. I explained to him that I have to travel teh same move in date at night and if he can change my unit from tje 3er floor to the 1st floor and he wanted to charge me $50 extra.
Update - Now the gate is broken/closed and units are not accessible. No person on site - because it is a “remote access” facility. AVOID. Also faced another increase within a year. Now close to $600. 22% increase after 4 months! $363 to $443 per month. I chose this place based on location and fee. They pulled a BAIT and SWITCH. BAD BUSINESS.
