Coming from Detroit, I am naturally hesitant on dealing with anybody in the automotive repair industry. This was the case when my car broke down on the way to work. Just don't. If this review keeps just one person from losing time and money to Jeff Thames and his crew of lying imbeciles, it will have been time well spent. 8/14/16: My transmission broke down in downtown San Antonio. I was visiting from Las Cruces, NM. It was Sunday in a strange city far from home. I called a few places with 24/7 towing and Gary from Select Transmission was the first to get back to me. I told them after picking it up and 3 more times after calling them a dozen times to get a quote to tape my rear window when i arrive its pushed in and glass is everywhere in the back of my car and the only thing covering it is a peice of plie wood and after inspecting my car the transmission bolts are all over the hood and in the front of the car and my center console and glove box contents are all over the car and im sure the mechanics stole my cds because i had a stack in my console and now theres only 3 cds , i pop the t... read more

I was afraid to call this place and glad I did - I didnt have to worry about a thing? They help me to make all the arrangements and kept me inform about my vehicle and the monthly payments are reasonable. Nick explain everything to me, and it just all fell into place, it was a realief for me to see how easy this would be. Transmissions are always a big headache, but after Nick took care of everything for me, I would recommended this place to anyone. Thanks, Nick....... Diana

Don't take your car there they say free tow and check but don't be fooled. They use that to get you in and but when you don't like there price ,they say there's a 95.00 tow after they say on the phone there will be no charge if you take it elsewhere save yourself time and money don't call them there receptionist can't be trusted

bad customer service here!!!!!!!!!!!! we had my son's car towed here - told them what the problem was and they agreed that the engine needed to be rebuilt - every day a different story! customer service is TERRIBLE - 4 times we were on hold on phone 30-35 min - even left cell phone on speaker phone and called from work phone and said - YEP that's me on HOLD!!!!! Even the owner Jeff gave me his cell phone number - call anytime he said!!!! ya you get the answering machine.....ok so 7 weeks!!!!! later they tell us the car is do... read more

Outstanding Service – All the reviews about this shop proved to be true. We have a Pacifica that we have had a consistant problem with. It has been in 4 shops one being the dealership and they could not find the problem. They did however misdiagnose and have us do many unnecessary repairs that cost us over 1200.00. I called Select to see how much it would cost to look at it since all the other shops had charged me a fee. Jeff said no charge bring it in.
