They will take care of you! It's a hospital everyone is busy but they always get to you and provide great care when they are with you. Everything was good, sometimes pain management was iffy but most of the staff and people were great, nice and friendly.
Our experience at Saint Francis Select was an absolute nightmare and a severe deviation from any acceptable standard of care. Despite their initial 'wonderful' presentation and accommodations, the reality was horrifying, especially after 8 PM. Basic patient care became non-existent. Nurse call lights were routinely ignored for 45 minutes or more, forcing my father to endure neglect even for essential needs like restroom assistance, with staff seemingly preferring accidents in bed. My dad has been in the select specialty unit for almost 9 weeks. He has received the closest care to his at home care we could ask for. The nurses/ nursing aids have gone above and beyond to not only make sure my dad is healing but that he is as comfortable as possible.
The entire staff, nurses,, aids, case advocate etc.. were very inattentive. I must say the doctors were fantastic. My brother was there for 4 days before given a nurse call button and only got one after he was falling out of his bed while hooked to a breathing machine and I had to yell for help. Someone came into the room at night while he was sleeping and stole from him.
Staff was good select medical is actually another hospital within the via Christie campus. Focused on rehab rehabilitation The staff here were excellent to work with and very friendly and professional Well, beyond what you expected most settings
