Do not listen to the reviews that have 5 stars this place is where people go to die. Every person in Selevct is left to die most from pneumonia because they are left flat on their back on feeding tubes and doped up on muscle relaxers. The Dr who runs the place is also the attending at Ascension and Beaumont and the same critical care team. It’s a huge Medicaid fraud system. I have to give a huge shoutout to all the heroes who worked so hard to get my Uncle where he needed to be….From the nurses Claire, Keith, Jasmin, Sister Noelle, Paul, Marvin…..and that’s not even close to naming them all….The RTs Aida, Amanda, Caitlin and all the others….The CNAs (didn’t get their names), Adam from speech, y’all are amazing wonderful humans and I thank you from the bottom of my heart. Watching someone you love go through a medical crisis is one of the hardest things imaginable, and spending so much time at a facility really makes you notice everything — the good, the bad, and the people who truly care. Overall, our experience at the facility has been emotional but filled with moments that reminded us there are still amazing healthcare workers out there. This is a review for care we received actually way back in 2013-14. My mother could not be weaned off the ventilator during her regular hospital stay, so we found ourselves here. It was a difficult process that takes time that a regular hospital just did not have (they can only keep you for so long). SS got us through the complications that occur during long hospitalizations, and they were able to eventually, successfully, get her off of the vent.
