Family member was sent here and received hardly any therapy at all. Lot of bad attitude from nurses and literally waited more than 30 minutes as the call light was on while nurses stood at desk showing each other their phones and tossing rubber bands at one another
Our family member was sent here after a difficult recovery from heart surgery that involved needing a trach. Trach was removed 2 days prior to family member's arrival at Select Specialty. Our family member's spouse was never called once the patient arrived. Our family received zero communication from the doctor, case manager, or administration while our family member was there. My husband was on a trach after a horrific experience with another place, when he was finally moved to Select they provided him and myself with the kind of care people actually deserve. They helped him get off the trach and get moving. They advocated for him, diagnosed him properly, was open and honest with what was going on and all the medications. We had a great experience.
I was sent to Select Specialty Hospital for 15 days following a couple of bad falls and serious heart issues. What a great experience. Everyone on staff was happy to please, knowledgeable, experienced and clearly experts in their respective fields. It seemed like no time at all they took me from a miserable bag of pain to a person who felt good and could talk and walk and wanted to work to get home. I would recommend this facility to anyone in need of critical care, rehabilitation and any of their specialty medical services.
Do not let them send anyone you care about to this so called hospital. Soo many issues starting with management but the patient care is horrendous. Staff isn't truthful caring or competent. Staff very rude with the exception of PT. The admitting person not truthful. Dr's don't listen or even show up. They made my family members condition much worse discharged her with sepsis & blood clots she had to be taken right back to the actual hospital.
