Well I feel the recent reviews, explain it all! Do not rent from this property management! They are slumlords we rented from them for almost 5 years they took most of our deposit for cleaning fees and sent pictures of what they cleaned (including taking 5 glow in the dark stars off the ceiling and cleaning one little dust bunny ) they charged me $300 with a fake receipt from a fake company that is working with them to make money off of you! Do not rent from them if you have the choice! I, however, did not, as my landlord retained Select Property Management to collect rent and handle maintenance requests 8 years into my lease. From day one, they were rude, insisting they needed to enter my unit shortly after I received notice that they would be taking over management the following month, simply because the sooner they did their initial walk-through, the sooner they could start billing my landlord. Apartments at 18th & O: Flea infestation, homeless people breaking in, camping out, and pooping on the sidewalk and stairs.
We recently toured and applied for a listing with this company. We worked with Jillena and it was a very efficient and pleasant experience. I definitely recommend Select Properties as a solid option for good renters looking for a new place.
I live near a property “ managed “by Select Property “ management. In Feb the property was damaged by winds that tore part of the roof off. It took approx 2-3,weeks before this company even installed a tarp over the damage. After a few calls to them, a guy in a pickup worked on half the roof, not the part with the tarp, in approx March. Since then no works has been done and the blue tarp still sits forlornly on the front of the roof.
