Perfect every time start to finish. Could order with my eyes closed because the all menu is delicious
The wine and oysters are fabulous. The bay scallop ceviche is the best ceviche I've ever had. I should have ordered another for my main meal. The lobster salad is terrible. It must be frozen lobster. This was shocking being in Boston. My friends had the swordfish and the Arctic char- both were amazing. There is no dessert. They treated my friend well for her birthday.
Oysters, Spanish octopus and albacore crude. All outstanding. Thoughtful wine list. Great service at the bar.
It says "walk ins welcome" but that is clearly not the case. We walked in for wine (which was recommended by our friends) and would have ordered food but we didn't get the chance because we were turned away since we could not guarantee we would pay a big bill! The woman at the door said she didn't have room (the entire place was about 50% full) on a Saturday night for people who wanted wine and "just an oyster." Well I worked with Michael Serpa at Neptune for several years! He has very high standards. So this chef never disappointed me once as a server. Trust me servers at Neptune have nothing but glowing praises for him. Good luck... Better still you want need luck because you are very talented!
New England seafood is as good as Nordic ones, except that here it's only half the price! (You can probably thank the Euro system for that.) Freshest oysters and scallops, juiciest lobsters I've ever had. The Ichabod Flats and Rocky Nook oysters are the best, Massachusetts' very own local catches. You can't help but indulge in an oyster overdose at this lovely little cozy corner in this bustling touristy part of Boston town. Craving for more just thinking about today's dinner. Will definitely come back for more.
