PLEASE DO NOT SEND YOUR LOVED ONE TO THIS FACILITY!!! First off - Many of the nurses, aids, and respiratory therapists are great. They care, and it shows. Thank God for them!!! However, they are not the ones making decisions about the care of patients. That falls to the doctors and administration. You will be horrified at how apathetic, uncurious, incompetent, and dangerously arrogant they are. They will not do ANYTHING beyond the bare minimum. Do NOT send your loved one here. Most of the nurses, aides, and RT’s are great, but the doctors could not care less about what happens to their patients, specifically Henry Allen. He’s the worst, most apathetic, smug, pathetic excuse for a doctor I’ve ever met and hope to ever meet. If he had shown even the slightest hint of curiosity, my dad may still be alive. I could not be happier with the care my husband has received here, the skill of the medical staff, the friendliness of all the people here and the sweet concern for me.
This is the worst facility ever. The respiratory therapist are great. Some CNA’s are great. I almost died in this place when I was supposed to go there to learn trach care and be released to my family, well at least the social worker at UTSW told me that. The person Michelle comes to UTSW and makes this place seem like a luxury rehabilitation center but when you get there it’s the complete opposite.
