When we look at where to take our family in the event of a long-term issue, there are a few avenues we can go down. One is asking doctor recommendations, then the social workers, then reviews online, then of course going yourself and looking at each. Select Specialty Care had the recommendation of all doctors, nurses, and social workers we talked to. Then when I came to visit it was a done deal for me, the place looks amazing…. PLEASE DO NOT SEND YOUR LOVED ONE TO THIS FACILITY!!! First off - Many of the nurses, aids, and respiratory therapists are great. They care, and it shows. Thank God for them!!! However, they are not the ones making decisions about the care of patients. That falls to the doctors and administration. You will be horrified at how apathetic, uncurious, incompetent, and dangerously arrogant they are. They will not do ANYTHING beyond the bare minimum. Do NOT send your loved one here. Most of the nurses, aides, and RT’s are great, but the doctors could not care less about what happens to their patients, specifically Henry Allen. He’s the worst, most apathetic, smug, pathetic excuse for a doctor I’ve ever met and hope to ever meet. If he had shown even the slightest hint of curiosity, my dad may still be alive.
