I’m usually a fan of supporting local coffee spots, but unfortunately, I need to share a disappointing experience on behalf of a friend who was treated very poorly by the owner of this Second Cup location. My sister was verbally abused by the owner, Ali Saad, today Sunday around 1:30pm at Second Cup (1779 Tenth Line, Orleans). She was studying when the owner told her to buy something or leave, even though she had confirmed she would purchase a coffee afterward. While a business can enforce purchase rules, Ali Saad followed her outside and used abusive language while she left calmly. The owner’s tone in his replies from the incident, blaming and using insults at some reviewers. To me this reveals a pattern of unprofessional behavior that likely carries over in real life which i’m not suprised. Mentioning her friends and family into an online argument at each reply and using unprofessional words is not professional as a coffee shop owner, I just see lack of accountability of your action after the woman left your building.
