The part (sump inlet) was obviously faulty and needed replacement. The technician did a quick start and then manually stopped the cycle, seeing no leak and deemed the repair complete. However, at the end of the very first full cycle there is considerable water in the bottom, which continues to build and then overflows. My floor was flooded. Not satisfactory overall.
