Our Samsung free-standing stove started making frequent ignition / popping sounds when the oven was turned on and we requested service. Tech was able to quickly identify the problem as a faulty gas valve as opposed to an oven ignitor. We discussed the option of replacing the defective part and determined the oven was beyond economical repair due to it's age. The technician provided a quick diagnosis as well the best solution.

Sears, out sources there appliance repair people, they work remotely. I had Carlos come out from Ventura to repair a Dacor electric oven, spent more than an hour, taking the oven out of the cabinet, and telling me it was a High limit switch that was causing my oven not to heat, Sears, and he wanted $346.00 to install the High Limit switch, I bought the High Limit switch on Amazon for $40.00 and put in myself, only to find out it wasn't the High Limit switch, I paid him $129.00 to wrongly diagnose my oven.
