We had called for repairing our Kenmore Dryer. The rate for diagnosis was 89$ in sears website. The service person identified the issue to be the mother board. They charged 140$ just for diagnosis when the website clearly said they will charge 89$ to identify the problem.
I had a good experience with Sears Appliance Repair. I received a reminder call on January 22 that a repairman was coming on January 23 between 2 and 6. On the 23rd, he called to say he was on his way and would be there at 5. He arrived on time and replaced a part on the dryer door so it would latch properly. I have had service agreements on my Sears Appliances for several years. The repairmen have always been courteous and on time.
I purchased the extended warranty on my refrigerator. When I had an issue with the ice maker, I called Sears and they sent out a technician. Even though it was clear to me that the ice was overfilling the water, the tech told my wife that we just did not use the ice machine often enough. It still overfills today after their visit and a second visit will likely be required. We were ready to cancel our contract with Sears and never renew it until we finally go the best repairman ever represented by any company. Ariel Pinhasov came and serviced our furnace and provided us with super valuable information on how to properly maintain it for the future. He was so impressive, we renewed our maintenance contract that very day. Anyone having furnace or HAVC problems should request Ariel Pinhasov for your repair service. You cannot go wrong. This man should be promoted to management.
The technician that showed up for a scheduled repair on 2/11/16 rescheduled me for 2/18. No one showed up on 2/18, 2/19 or 2/25. Repeated phone calls and the online system assured me all day on the 18th that someone was coming. At 7:30 that evening the computer said I was rescheduled for 8 to 12 on the 19th.
