Sears customer service was great. The technichian was experienced (37 years with Sears). He did a thorough job. This was a scheduled maintenance check. Customer service called the day before to verify the appointment and they kept in touch via e-mail. I just bought another appliance from Sears and I'm glad I did.
From the moment I chatted on line to when my dryer was fixed the personal were most gracious and helpful. The cost was extremely reasonable and saved me at least $500 by not having to purchase a new dryer. Their on line web page was easy to use and the repair man came when scheduled and worked very efficiently and was very nice. Oh yes I would recommend them and use them again.
I am totally satisfied. Jerel the service Technician was super. I also am happy I took out the policy on my washer.
For anyone that owns a Sears appliance that is less than 10 years old - I would highly recommend looking into the protection agreement! My water heater started leaking after 8 years and because I had the agreement I did not need to pay for the replacement, delivery, installation or haul away. They even transferred my new unit to my existing contract!! this was all taken care of within 2 business days. (Called on a Monday morning and it was all done by Tuesday evening). Probably saved me $1,000 easily and no hassle.
I have had sears come out 2 times to look at my washer because it was leaking from front door. Neither technician was able to help, or diagnose the problem. Sears doesn't want to replace anything or give me any solution other that there may be hair in the door making it leak. The machine leaked while technician was here, still claims door may not be sealing due to my not cleaning it. Very disappointed in my LG front loader I just purchased in March.. steer clear
We have used Sears appliance repair for almost 10 years. I use them because as a corporation and if something goes wrong there is always a manager or corporate person to help you get the problem solved. A few years ago our basement fridge went out and I called a local guy. He was very nice but he cut the freon tubing and added a fill valve. This in turn caused a boatload of problems. Excellent service...prompt and conceive. Very customer oriented. Didn't try to oversell me. Got what needed fixed..very happy with outcome.
Our repair man JR was prompt, polite, and a pleasure to have in our home. This was the second call for repair on our dryer. Explaining to the 'customer service rep' on the phone to diagnose the problem does not always result in correcting the problem. JR himself diagnosed the problem as being the timer and he made the necessary calls to have a new timer sent and helped scheduled a date for the repair. The technician was prompt and quick and the repair was done satisfactorily. (Unfortunately he wa a bit messy. Cleaned out the drain hose .. yuck .. from the washer in our kitchen sink & left a mess. It was snowing outside and I ended up having to wash the majority of our laundry room floor because he walked outside and didn't take his shoes off. Just little things.)
