To Mikemc, I just was notified about your pitiful remarks. I suggest when you claim that the cold weather killed your palms and you returned them completely dried out, your first mistake was you should of watered them before returning them. Regardless what you read on the internet, Lipstick palms will definitely take upper 40's. Searle Brothers Nursery is a family owned business in its 35th year. I had a great experience at Searle Brothers Nursery. They have an amazing selection and are very helpful. I will definitely come back and recommend this nursery to everyone.

I went to Searle Brothers with a friend a few months ago. I bought 4 lipstick palms at $75 each because they are unusual and red palms should be very nice. I asked 2 workers about these because $300 is a lot of money to plunk down for some palms. I was told that they were slow growers, etc. I was told that I should protect these if the temperature dropped below 40 degrees. I took these home and got on the internet to make sure I would plant and take care of these correctly. I read from several sources that these would suffer... read more

Horrible nursery. Prices are high and the owners are rude. There are so many better nurseries around.
